My 2nd Blogiversary Tea Party

For those of you who are only familiar with my blog name now, know there was a blog before this called The Budget Divaa. On May 19th, 2014 The Budget Divaa was born. I started out with an idea of what I wanted to do with my blog, a few good quality posts here and a few not so quality post there; now after two years in the game I celebrated this past Sunday with a tea party that was more than I could have ever imagined. Seriously, it was like a dream I don’t even know where to begin.

*Setting up for the event at Tea Room Miami*

The festivities started at 2PM, (but really at 3PM because we all know how people run on Miami time), with the dual purpose of celebrating my Blogiversary and networking with local bloggers, photographers and fashion enthusiasts. I honestly think some of the best networking anyone can do is in a setting that’s not so professional or staged, but rather a more intimate and comfortable environment. That ambiance is where the real connections are made, so I aimed to create that space for all my Miami creatives and I must say I believe it was a success! I couldn’t have made that happen without the Tea Room Miami’s beautiful venue. This authentic tea room gave life to my vision and was the perfect space to bring strangers together and have them leave as acquaintances. If you want to throw an authentic tea party with authentic food and people behind the scenes, visit the Tea Room Miami. I promise this place won’t disappoint.

The celebration continued on with some tea, activities, tons of selfies and some decadent treats from LSweets! Lana was a proud sponsor of this event and baked a beautiful tiered cake that was moist and scrumptious. She also took the time to hand deliver chocolate covered infused strawberries, macaroons, cupcakes and meringue bites that made our tea party not only look authentic, but have delicious treats that are perfectly fitting. Her sweet treats were definitely a hit, so thank you so much making your desserts a part of this event!

Now what’s a party without some goodies/giveaways? To end off the festivities my tea party had some awesome giveaways provided by three amazing companies. Gems by Gary, a black owned business in New York, was kind enough to sponsor and hand package goodie boxes of handmade body scrubs, soaps, butters and beautiful lavender candles that had all of the guests leaving smelling like a beautiful garden. Her products are genuinely made with the customer in mind, as they were specifically tailored to my event, and with tons of love.

Essence Cosmetics was also a proud sponsor for this event providing tons of makeup goodies for our attendees. From lipsticks to glosses and eyeliners to nail polish, this company provided something unique for everyone to take home to look and feel fabulous for their next occasion.

Bella Kurls was our last sponsor and provided the grand prize! This company is all about providing curly hair extensions for all my curlfriends. Owner Lynette, (also a local blogger), provided goodie bags for each guest with false lashes so they can add a little something extra to their makeup routine. Overall I can honestly say that each sponsor provided something unique to the event but it all worked to provide amazing takeaways to attendees.

So it goes without saying that my celebration was a success! With the perfect venue, amazing sponsors and a room full of fabulous people, how could anything go wrong? I honestly can’t wait to host more events, so be sure to be on the lookout for the next one. You won’t want to miss it. Thanks for stopping by and see you next post.
