I Made $1,675 & Received Over $3,000 Worth of Products/Services With My Small Blog This Year
I've never done monthly income reports, nor do I plan to in 2017, but I thought I'd share what happened with my blog financially this year. Realistically, this year has had so many ups and downs that weren't shared on the blog. I finished up college, I went through a period of depression and a few other things, so let's just say I wasn't consistent all year long with my website.
Here are my stats from January 1st, 2016 all the way up until November 30th, 2016. Take a close look:
Stats from October 1st, 2016 to November 30th, 2016
What was consistent was my monthly views staying around the 3,100 range while I was The Budget Divaa. They teetered and tottered a bit, but genuinely that's how much your girl had for this year. I finally was able to break 5,000+ UVMs in October after the launch of She's Candid, but keep in mind that was only one month.
Needless to say, your girl is still a "small blogger", but someway somehow I still managed to make money and get a significant amount of items complimentary. The items I was gifted range from vehicles, hotel stays, meals, products and services. Today we're primarily going to be focusing on the income recieved this year, which in the grand scheme of things the gross profit is by any means a salary, but it's definitely a start!
So how did I manage to swindle $1,675 out of my small blog this year? I'll tell you:
- $1,175 - Various Blogger Network Campaigns
- $450 - Independent Brand/Company Campaigns
- $150 - Blogiversary Tea Party Event Sales
*Keep in mind this is gross profits before taxes, expenses and all that jazz. So my actual take home was closer to $1,600.
So that was my 2016 in a nutshell and I have BIG plans for the future. I looked at this number and said to myself "I can do better and I will do better." I halfassed my way to that money and that's going to stop now.
Right now I'm planning to make $1,000 per month blogging by December 2017.
The money I received this year was sporadic with some months no cash flow and some months two or three campaigns. In the large scheme of things making around $1000/month is not a lot, BUT it's a step towards creating steady income from the blog and THAT is the ultimate goal; consistent income.
In 2017 you can catch me monetizing my blog in SEVERAL different ways and I'm challenging you to do the same. No matter your size you can generate some form of income from your blog as you are valuable. So I want to help you tap into that value and learn how to profit off of it.
