New Year, New She's Candid?

To say last year was one of the most trying, yet rewarding would be an understatement. From personal development to learning so much about the endless possibilities in the blogging world, let's just say I took in a lot last year. I may not have made any huge leaps or strides, but your girl was soaking in all the gems in 2016.

I've become that person who will sit back and observe what's really going on. How the movers and shakers in the industry are making their coins, how the social media mavens are skyrocketing their stats and how I can implement all the good that my fellow bloggers do into my own empire in the making.

Now we're here on the first day of 2017 and I have a much clearer idea as to how this performance is going to go. You see, I'm going to be honest with you when I say I've been passive. You've seen me take what I want when it comes to pitching, but seldom have I ever really said I'm going to take my spot here in the blogging world.

Well that's about to change. This is my year and I am going to shamelessly let the world know that She's Candid is here. I did not come to play....I came to slay.

Since we all understand that I'm about to unleash my inner Beyonce in 2017, there's going to be a few changes in the Formation of this blog. (you see what I did there?) Nothing crazy and what not, just some slight things so that the best quality can be center stage for you. My entire goal of having this blog is to be a resource that helps you realize you can do anything you put your mind to! With that I'm decluttering my blog and making way for more assistance for you as a reader.

So basically, this is all for YOU.

To begin, I know you all love a quick slay with my outfit but my Fashion section of the blog is going bye bye. I'm being completely candid with you all when I tell you that I make decisions based on you. I won't keep a section that you don't engage with and show love to. Think about it, when was the last time you visited my Fashion section? It probably wasn't recently and my stats are showing this.

Will all of my fashion and style be forever lost? Hell no. You can slide right on over to my Instagram where I will definitely be doing #OOTDs there in place of my website. See? I compromised. You'll still get your dose of the fashionista every now and then, but on this blog we're focused on business.

Moving right on along, this year I'm keeping it more candid. To some of you I already am the most candid person on your feed, but you have no idea. I realized when my boo Michelene told me she loved my Blogger Trends To Leave In 2016 video, but wished I didn't hold back. I realized at the end of this past year that I've held back SO MUCH of myself from the world because I'm scared people won't resonate with the candidness.

Really speaking the truth in a world that's built on facades isn't everyone's cup of tea, I get it, but it is in fact my cup of tea with extra sugar. I'm planning to be so candid and transparent with you it's going to be like we're besties. Like I'm sipping tea in your living room as we watch Scandal, that's the level I'm talking about. Whether I'm chatting with you about my life, sharing screenshots of my stats/receipts or even opening up in a blog post, we're keeping it even more candid this year.

Taking a step back to this Fashion section situation, just because I'm getting rid of one thing doesn't mean something isn't coming in it's place. Towards the end of 2016 I'm sure you saw Candid Consulting rise up and it's going to continue to rise in the New Year. I've conceptualized how to expand this part of my blog to ultimately provide that one on one service you need. Candid Consulting is here to stay and has now moved to my services page where you can get all your resources in one location.

So is it a New Year and New She's Candid? Hell no. She's Candid has always been here, I'm just making it my duty to give you more. Happy New Year to each and every one of you. Now it's time to take 2017 by storm.
